Stunning piece of modern art. Like a glittering shard of glass. But as soon as you stop to pick up this jagged jewel you’re going to get cut. One of the best plays I’ve seen in a long time. With a dark, unmentioned Irish back story careful viewers will see.

THE PAINTED ROCKS AT REVOLVER CREEK by Athol Fugard at Signature Theatre

5-stars

Athol Fugard (83) can still peel back the surface skin and show timeless human truth. The kind of otherworldly theatre experience you never forget. Two hours, three characters, two scenes. And nothing less than the entire history of South Africa on a pinhead. An aching longing for home. Paging @NobelPrize folks…
