MOTHER MOTHER is a journalistic theater piece about contemporary parenthood, based on interviews with a diverse group of mothers. Mother, Mother examines the issues of gender equity, economic disparity, and cultural pressure that disproportionately impact many of today’s mothers. We are collecting interviews in a variety of locations throughout the United States, as well as in Sweden. Through examining the daily lives of mothers in these very different cultures, we ask:

“Whose responsibility is it to respond to the changing needs of mothers and families?”

March 22nd Performance will be followed by a panel discussion on Contemporary Motherhood, featuring guest panelists from Family Forward Oregon.
