It’s Portland’s newest live performance venue and crews are still hard at work finishing up what looks to be a beautiful renovation of the former Washington High School auditorium. When it’s all done, you’ll have Revolution Hall – a joint venture between True West (which owns Aladdin) and Mississippi Studios. The mid size venue will seat up to around 800. There’s a soft launch planned for the weekend of February 12-14, with Live Wire, Dan Savage and more on tap. April will see the gala opening.
The auditorium isn’t the only part of the former school that has enjoyed a facelift. There will be a cafe, bar and office space. Star tenant New Seasons will hold down the upper floor. And up on the roof prepare yourself for one of the most stunning east side views of the city you have ever seen.
Just a few more weeks before the people will start revolting, and tickets are going faster than old plaster off a basement wall.
So get ready.
